After this, Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli came as openers for the Indian team which came out with a target of 111 runs. In this, Virat Kohli gave a big blow by getting out on the second ball without scoring any run. In the second over, Rohit Sharma was out after scoring just 3 runs. Rishabh Pant, who came next, went away after giving 18 runs.

Both Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey revived the Indian team which was struggling with the poor performance of key players.

Thanks to Suryakumar's half-century and Dubey's 31 runs, the Indian team crossed the target in 18.2 overs and defeated America by 7 wickets. With this, the Indian team has registered its hat-trick win in the current T20 World Cup series.
