Delhi: Amid the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 being played in the United States of America (USA) and West Indies, officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have met top officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy to be played next year, so the PCB is already trying its best to convince the BCCI.

According to a report in The Express Tribune, PCB and BCCI officials discussed the issue of Team India travelling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 in New York but the BCCI has again left it to the Indian government to take the final decision on the matter.

The cricket board of the neighboring country has expressed hope that the entire event of this mega event will be organized in their country and it will not be organized in any other country under the hybrid model. However, there is still a question mark on whether Team India will tour Pakistan or not. If both the countries agree, then India and Pakistan will clash on March 1.

Team India will play its matches in Lahore

The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to hold all the matches of India in the same stadium, i.e. Lahore, because the Indian team will be provided with adequate security. The PCB has told the ICC that it will provide all kinds of security to the players of the neighboring country. The city of Lahore is near the Indian border. This will also make the travel of Indian fans more convenient.

For your information, let us tell you that the Indian team has not visited Pakistan since 2006, but since the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, India is in a dilemma. Recently Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, England, New Zealand have visited Pakistan. This indicates that Pakistan has become a safe country for cricket, but whether the Indian team will go there or not, it all depends on the government.
