The teams that finished in the top-8 points table during the ODI World Cup played in India last year will play in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. In that sense, India, Australia, South Africa, England, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Pakistan and Bangladesh are eligible to play in this tournament. If Team India withdraws its name from this, then Sri Lanka, which is at the 9th position, can be allowed to play in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Hybrid model is a great option

Last year, Asia Cup 2023 was organized in Pakistan. BCCI did not allow Team India to go and play in the neighboring country. After this, this tournament was played under the hybrid model. All the matches of the Indian team were played in Sri Lanka. In such a situation, ICC Champions Trophy 2025 can also be organized on the same lines.
