India and the Kangaroo team will face each other in the Super-8 on June 24. In such a situation, Hogg believes that both these teams will qualify for the final and their match is also going to be very interesting. Not only this, the former veteran player has put Australia ahead for the match between these two teams on June 24 and he has also given the reason behind it. During a conversation on Star Sports, Brad Hogg has given his reaction about both the teams.
He said, “India and Australia are going to face each other in the Super-8. Apart from this, you expect that the teams of Bangladesh and Afghanistan will qualify here. In such a situation, both these teams will make their way to the semi-finals and then the finals by defeating Bangladesh and Afghanistan. I hope this is going to happen. If this happens, then there is a possibility of a grand final between India and Australia and I would like this only.”
When he was asked about the match on June 24, which team looks stronger for it, the former cricketer chose Australia. Hogg said, “For the match to be played between these two teams in Super-8, I would choose Australia over India because this team was playing in West Indies, where the wicket is slow. On the other hand, Team India has played its matches in New York, where there is little seam movement and due to this the batsmen have not been able to get a good rhythm. Earlier, Indian players were playing in IPL, where the pitch was flat.”
