The iconic duo, known for their prowess on the field, appeared to thoroughly enjoy performing the chartbuster that had captivated Indian cinema audiences back in 2013.
The T20 tournament in the West Indies and USA is in full swing, with teams vying for coveted playoff spots. Meanwhile, Pakistan‘s World Cup campaign has all but ended, as Babar Azam’s side has already been eliminated from the competition. They will play their final group match against Ireland on Sunday, seeking to restore some pride.
After the Ireland-USA match was abandoned without a single delivery, Pakistan was eliminated from the tournament. Meanwhile, the USA advanced to the Super 8 stage. Wasim Akram, Pakistan’s legendary former cricketer, criticized his home team while also commending the USA squad for their remarkable performance.
“Team USA delivered an impressive performance, earning qualification for the Super 8 and reflecting the growing globalization of the sport. Their victory over Pakistan in the previous round secured their place in the tournament. Meanwhile, Pakistan planned to travel via Emirates flight EK 601 to Dubai, before continuing on to their final destinations. Then we’ll see what happens,” remarked Akram.
In the case of Gavaskar, he has cause for happiness as India has advanced to the Super 8. After winning their last three games, the Men in Blue will now play Canada in Florida on June 15.
