India batter Sarfaraz Khan impressed everyone with a phenomenal uppercut, sending a 146 kmph delivery by Mark Wood for a boundary. Since the fall of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz and Devdutt Paddikal took over the charge of scoring runs for India on Day 2 of the Dharamsala Test at the HPCA stadium.

In addition to the brilliant timing and execution of the shot, Sarfaraz's uppercut was reminiscent of India's cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's trademark shot. The 26-year-old has been under the spotlight since making his debut in his side's Rajkot Test against England, and he has put in an impressive performance since then to back the surrounding hype.

The set batting pair of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were forced to walk back in the hut after both lost their wickets within the first two overs of the second session on Day 2. Their fall marked the end of their phenomenal 175-run partnership, only for debutant Devdut Padikkal and Sarfaraz to come in and continue the pressure on England.

However, Sarfaraz's brilliance came to an end as he got dismissed for 56 off 60 balls by Shoaib Bashir, on the very first ball after Tea. This was Sarfaraz's third half-century in the ongoing England series, which only adds to his brilliant form that earned him his India call.
