Meanwhile, Azam has said that he will decide whether to leave the captaincy or not. He said that whatever he does, he will do it in front of everyone and will not be afraid.

29-year-old Babar Azam said in the press conference, “I will decide whether I want to leave the leadership or not, but whatever I do, I will do it in front of everyone, I will not do it out of fear. At first I thought I had left the captaincy, then the board said, so I accepted the captaincy, now if the board says so, I will leave the captaincy.”

Responding to a question about his captaincy, Babar admitted that he did not live up to expectations in the World Cup. He said that he would go and meet the chairman of the board. He further said that not reaching the Super-8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is extremely regrettable. No single player can be blamed for the defeat. We did not play well as a team.

'Nobody in the team knows how to bat'

Pakistan team's head coach Gary Kirsten has strongly criticized the team captained by Babar Azam. Kirsten said, “Our fitness level is not up to standard. It has to be increased. The fitness level of the team's players is not right. We are far behind the world in skill level despite playing so much cricket. There is no awareness towards the game. No one knows which shot to play when.”
