Delhi: Team India's legendary batsman Virat Kohli's bat has remained silent so far in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He has been able to score only 5 runs in the first three matches of this mega tournament, including a golden duck against the United States of America (USA). However, it is very important for India to return to form for King Kohli in the Super 8. Regarding this, former Indian team opener and veteran commentator Aakash Chopra has told Virat the way to return to form.

46-year-old Aakash Chopra said that Kohli will regain form against Afghanistan. He just needs to play aggressively in the first three overs.

Speaking on Jio Cinema, Akash said, “I think Virat Kohli should return to form with the match against Afghanistan, not because of who the opposition is, but because of his caliber. Considering the venue, it can be said that the ball will come on the bat well and the boundaries are also not very big.”

He further said, “I think he has been over aggressive in the first three matches. Virat played his last T20 International match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru, where he got out while trying to hit a six. In the T20 World Cup, the way he got out shows that he is coming with an aggressive approach from the beginning. I hope he will give himself some time.”

Apart from this, Chopra said, “Fazalhaq Farooqui and Naveen Ul Haq are in great form, while Afghanistan also has a good spin attack. If Virat gives himself some time, then his form will not be a matter of concern.”

Regarding the Caribbean pitches, Aakash Chopra said, “The pitch of New York is not suitable for T20 cricket, because there is bounce here and high scoring matches will not be seen on these grounds.”
