In such a situation, now former Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal has given his reaction on this matter and told how important he can prove to be for India as a head coach.

In fact, Gambhir has been interviewed by the Cricket Advisory Committee on Tuesday for the post of head coach. Many veteran players of the cricket world are considering Gambhir to be the right person for the post of head coach of Team India because he has done a good job as a mentor. Now during a conversation with the Times of India, Akmal has given his reaction about Gambhir.

He said, “Whatever Gambhir touches turns into gold and the team he joins becomes very successful. Team India does not need any foreign coach, they have many options and talent. Gautam was a great player and will also become a great coach. He is the best option for India at the moment. Gambhir was associated with Lucknow Super Giants and the team performed brilliantly under his leadership.”

The former Pakistani player further said, “He plans very well and has a good cricketing mind. I have played a lot of cricket with him. Gautam is the right person to coach Team India. He should be the head coach. Not only this, India should look at Ashish Nehra or Zaheer Khan for bowling coaching.”
