Gautam Gambhir Team India Head Coach: After the end of T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team will get a new head coach.

Currently Rahul Dravid is playing this role and his tenure will end after the tournament.
BCCI has started the process of selecting the next head coach of the team. Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir is at the forefront of the race to get this post. According to ESPN Cricinfo report, Gambhir has also applied for this post and he was also interviewed by the Cricket Advisory Committee on Tuesday. During this interview, Voorkeri Venkat Raman was also present with him. During the interview, both of them were also asked some such questions, about which information has come to the fore.

These three big questions were asked to Gambhir during the interview

Let us tell you that former Indian batsman Gambhir gave this interview through video call. Whereas, Voorkeri Venkat Raman was physically present. According to the report of Rev Sports, the 3 main questions that were asked to Gambhir are as follows:

1. What are your thoughts about the team's coaching staff?

2.

What are your thoughts on split captaincy, fitness parameters to workload management and the team's failure to win ICC trophies?

3. With some ageing players in both batting and bowling departments, how will you handle the phase of change?

It is worth noting that the BCCI had fixed May 27 as the last date for sending applications for the post of head coach. During that time Gambhir was playing the role of mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders team in IPL 2024. After the final of the tournament, there was a long conversation between Gambhir and BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Since then, the news of Gambhir becoming the next head coach of Team India started gaining discussion.

Even though Gambhir does not have any coaching experience at the international level yet, under his mentorship, KKR tasted the trophy in the 17th season of IPL. At the same time, as a captain, he has made Kolkata champion twice. Gambhir himself has also expressed his desire to play the role of head coach of Team India.
