• While the second match was played between South Africa and USA, in which South Africa defeated USA by 18 runs.
• In such a situation, England and South Africa have strengthened their claim for the semi-finals by winning their first match. In such a situation, it can be said that England and South Africa are strong contenders to reach the semi-finals.

These two teams will be eliminated

• On the other hand, West Indies and USA seem to be getting eliminated.
  Both the teams had to face defeat in their first match itself.
• If West Indies and USA lose even one more match, then the team's journey will end before the semi-finals. To strengthen their claim for the semi-finals, both teams will have to win both their remaining matches.

India and Australia have the upper hand in Group A

• Apart from India, Group A has teams from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Australia. The first match is to be played between India and Afghanistan, while the second match will be played between Australia and Bangladesh.
• India and Australia have high chances of reaching from Group A.
