Team India would like to end the drought of not winning a single ICC tournament title for the last 10 years this time. If this does not happen, then the next challenge for Team India will be the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan next year. After 8 years, the ICC has decided to organize this tournament again, but Team India will not get much opportunity from the BCCI to prepare before this important tournament.

Team India will play only 6 ODI matches before Champions Trophy

This tournament to be held in Pakistan will start in the month of February-March. There are 8 months left for the start of Champions Trophy and in these 8 months, Team India will be seen playing only 6 ODI matches. These matches are considered very less before any big ICC tournament because questions like team combination and strategy will be raised in these 6 matches. Indian team will play these 6 ODI matches during 2 series. The first series will be played against Sri Lanka in the month of July where a series of 3 ODI matches will be organized.
