Chris Jordan’s Hat-trick restricts US for 115 at Kensington

The England Bowler Chris Jordan picked three wickets in the death overs of the match against the United States helping the side to restrict the co-hosts for 115 runs at Barbados.

England and the USA are set to play in the 49th match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

England bowlers Sam Curran, Topley, and Adil Rashid picked wickets in the first half of the US innings to collapse the batting lineup. The US has lost two matches in the Super 8s match against South Africa and West Indies and will be looking for a victory in the match. On the other hand, England is playing their last Super 8 match with one victory and one defeat in the matches against West Indies and South Africa.

Coming to the match, England won the toss and opted to bowl. Steven Taylor and Andries Gous started the innings while Reece Topley opened the bowling attack. Topley picked the first wicket for England. Andries Gous scored 8 runs before being dismissed in a delivery where he didn’t get the timing right.

Philip Salt went for the catch in the deep Square and eventually succeeded in it. With the dismissal of Steven Taylor for 12 runs by Sam Curran. Adil Rashid picked the wickets of Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar for 10 and 30 runs respectively.

With the dismissal of Milind Kumar’s four runs, the United States lost five wickets for 88 runs.

Harmeet Singh was sent out for 21 runs while Corey Anderson was sent out of for 29 runs. with the dismissal of Corey, the US lost seven wickets for 115 runs in the 19th over. With Chris Jordan’s three-wicket haul, the United States lost all 10 wickets scoring 115 runs by the end of 20 overs.
