In the current season of BCCI, the Indian team has to do two foreign tours after the T20 World Cup. The team has been announced for the first tour i.e. Zimbabwe tour. Some new players have been given a chance on this tour. At the same time, there were some players who were hoping that they would be selected, but were disappointed.
They also expressed their displeasure for this. Among these, there were two players who were part of the Indian team for a long time. They made a mistake and have not been forgiven till date. They have been shown the way out of the team. The two players we are talking about are Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. After the World Cup, both the players distanced themselves from the team and also refused to play domestic cricket. After that, the BCCI took away the central contract of both the players.
Since then, both are out of the team. Kishan met Jai Shah during the IPL. Then it was speculated that there was a talk between the two about this. However, Jai Shah denied this.On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer had recently said without naming BCCI that he had an injury, despite this no one listened to him and forced him to play Ranji Trophy. After being removed from the central contract, he wanted to make up for his mistake by winning the IPL trophy. But it seems that speaking against BCCI again has proved costly.
Players like Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders had expressed hope of selection in the team after winning the trophy.
They have also not been given a place in the team. Harshit Rana also came into controversy after his flying kiss celebration. For this, he was also banned for one match. After this, the whole team repeated this celebration again in the final. Now after not being named in the team, Harshit Rana has said on his social media that everything comes at the right time. At the same time, Varun Chakravarthy has taunted BCCI that it would have been good if they had a PR team.Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Riyan Parag and Tushar Deshpande are some of the names who have been selected for the Zimbabwe tour. These four players can make their debut there.
