By defeating Australia on Monday, Team India (IND vs AUS) has qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Both the teams faced each other on the ground of St. Lucia. After winning the toss, captain Mitchell Marsh decided to bowl first, which Rohit Sharma and company left no stone unturned to prove wrong.

After batting, the team also looked in command in bowling, due to which it won the match. After India won the match (IND vs AUS), Indian fans gave their reactions by sharing memes on social media.

IND vs AUS: India registered a win

  • The 51st match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) on 24th June at 8 pm Indian time.
  • After losing the toss and coming to bat first, Team India set a target of 205 runs for the loss of five wickets on the scoreboard.
    India achieved this score thanks to the stormy half-century of captain Rohit Sharma.
  • He played a captaincy innings of 92 runs facing 41 balls with the help of seven fours and eight sixes. Apart from him, Rishabh Pant scored 15 runs, Suryakumar Yadav scored 31 runs, Shivam Dubey scored 28 runs, Hardik Pandya scored 27 runs and Ravindra Jadeja scored 9 runs.
  • Virat Kohli could not even open his account.
    In reply, Australia (IND vs AUS) could score only 181 runs in the stipulated 20 overs and lost the match by 24 runs. Travis Head's brilliant innings of 76 runs could not make the Kangaroo team win.

India qualified for the semi-finals

  • For India (IND vs AUS), Arshdeep Singh took the most wickets by taking three wickets. Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets. Jaspreet Bumrah and Akshar Patel took one wicket each.
  • After Australia lost the match, Indian fans shared funny memes on social media.
    Actually, in the final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 played on November 19 last year, Australia defeated Team India (IND vs AUS) and won the title.
  • Travis Head played a key role in Australia's victory. In such a situation, Team India fans were very happy after the Australian team lost the match despite Travis Head scoring a half-century in the T20 World Cup 2024.
