The line-up for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 has been decided. The four teams that have confirmed their place in the semi-finals of the 9th edition of this ICC tournament are England, South Africa, India and Afghanistan. Among these four teams, England and South Africa have qualified for the semi-finals from Group 2.
Whereas, India and Afghanistan have entered the semi-finals from Group 1.Now the question is who will compete with whom? To know the answer to this, it is necessary to find out the position of the four teams in their respective groups. Team India has been on top in Group 1 while Afghanistan has been on the second position. On the other hand, even though England qualified first from Group 2, it is on the second position in the points table. That means South Africa has qualified for the semi-finals by being on top.
There will be two semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2024. According to Indian time, both these semi-finals will be played on the same day i.e. 27 June. The first semi-final will be held in Trinidad, in which the second-ranked team of Group 1 i.e. Afghanistan will face the first-ranked team of Group 2, South Africa. According to Indian time, this match will be played from 6 am.
The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 will be played on 27 June from 8 pm. In this match, the number one team of Group 1 i.e.
India will face the team of England, which is second in Group 2. This match will be held in Guyana.
