Lucknow: The final match of the ICC T20 World Cup will be played on 29 June and in this World Cup, Team India has made its place in the semi-finals.

Just after the end of the World Cup, India has to tour Zimbabwe, where Team India will play a 5-match T20I series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced the team for this series and young batsman Shubman Gill was made its captain. However, now there has been a change in the team for this tour.

Actually, due to the series being held right after the World Cup, all the senior players were rested from this series. Veteran players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were rested. For this series, players who performed well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 were included in the team but a big news is coming out. Let us tell you that a player has got injured only after the announcement of the team.

Let us tell you that during IPL 2024, young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy performed brilliantly for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He played good innings with his bat many times in difficult situations. Apart from this, he was also seen bowling. In view of his excellent performance, he was selected in the team for the Zimbabwe tour, but now the news is coming out that Nitish has got injured and Shivam Dubey has been included in the team in his place. This has been confirmed by the BCCI itself through its official X account.

Shivam is also a part of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup but he has not been able to perform as expected so far. In such a situation, the fans will hope that he performs well and wins the World Cup for India. Let us tell you that the series against Zimbabwe will start from July 6 and all the matches will be played in Harare. However, Nitish has been injured even before playing with the Indian team.
