Afghanistan only scored 56 runs in their T20 World Cup 2024 encounter against South Africa after choosing to bat first. Spinner Tabraiz Shamsi and pacer Marco Jansen both finished with three wickets apiece. In order to go to the T20 World Cup 2024 finals, the Proteas must now pursue the goal of 57 runs.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, Afghanistan’s opening pair, left the game early with scores of 0 and 2 runs, respectively, in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024. Azmatullah Omarzai and Gulbadin Naib made their way back to the pavilion with scores of nine and ten runs, respectively.
In the Afghanistan T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final, Omarzai’s 10-run knock was the highest.Karim Janat scored eight runs before being out, followed by Nangeyalia Kharote’s two runs.
