By defeating England on Thursday, Team India (IND vs ENG) has booked its ticket to the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Guyana's Providence Cricket Stadium hosted the India vs England match, in which, batting first, Rohit Sharma and company put 171 runs for the loss of seven wickets on the scoreboard.

In response, scoring runs was no less than breaking a mountain for the England (IND vs ENG) team, due to which they could score only 103 runs in 16.4 overs and were all out. After Team India won the match, Indian fans looked very happy and they gave their reactions by sharing memes on social media.

India qualified for the final by winning the IND vs ENG match

  • The second semi-final match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was played between India and England on 27 June. There was a thrilling match between the two teams at the Providence Cricket Stadium in Guyana.
  • After winning the toss, Jos Buttler invited Rohit Sharma and Co. to bat first. The team did not have a good start after losing the wicket of Virat Kohli (9) at a score of 19 runs.
  • But after this, Rohit Sharma took an aggressive approach and started thrashing the English bowlers. He scored a half-century by hitting a flurry of sixes and fours.
  • 57 balls came off his bat. Meanwhile, he shared a crucial 73-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav (4&). In the end, Ravindra Jadeja scored 17* and Hardik Pandya scored a quick 23 to take India's score to 171.

India avenged its previous defeat

  • The condition of the England team which came out to bat in the reply innings was very bad.
    It proved difficult for them to score runs and stay on the crease against the Indian bowlers.
  • Due to such performance, England's innings was limited to 16.4 overs. During this time, the team was able to score only 106 runs and lost the match by 68 runs.
  • On the other hand, by winning the match, Team India not only got a ticket to the final of T20 World Cup 2024 but also avenged their defeat to England in the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2022.
  • Indian fans were also very happy with this victory of Rohit Sharma and company.
    Therefore, on social media, along with praising the team, they also made fun of the English team.
