Since India advanced to the T20 World Cup 2022 semifinals and faced England in the second round on a spin-friendly surface in Guyana, former England captain Michael Vaughan has not been a happy camper. Even as Vaughan continued his rant against India, accusing the ICC of favoring India with a favorable site and favorable timing for their semi-final tie, India finally defeated England to reach the final.

Yes, the Indian subcontinent’s TV viewership was kept captive by predetermining the semi-final matchup. Vaughan on to imply that the Guyana song would be a “lovely venue pick for India.”

“England would have advanced to the Trinidad semifinal and, in my opinion, won that match if they had defeated South Africa. Thus, no complaints that they haven’t performed well enough. However, Guyana has shown to be a beautiful choice for India as a location,” Vaughan replied to a tweet.

Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian cricket player, got enough of Vaughan’s moaning and used X, a defunct Twitter platform, to permanently mute the former England cricket player and tell him to quit talking stupid all the time.

Why do you believe Guyana was an appropriate location for India? The same field was used for both teams’ game. England had the benefit of winning the toss. Give up being so dumb. India outperformed England in every area. Move on, accept the situation, and keep your garbage to yourself. Write rationality, not nonsense, Harbhajan said.

After a protracted rain delay at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, India scored 171/7, with Rohit Sharma leading the way with a 39-ball 57.

India was ahead of England by at least 15 runs on a slow-turning surface, but England never got going in the chase, losing wickets often and giving up to the Indian spinners quickly. In eight overs, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav combined to take six wickets while conceding only 42 runs. England lost the match by 68 runs after being bowled out of 103.
