New rules announced before IND vs SA final, batsmen are having a great time while bowlers are in big losses

IND vs SA: India and South Africa have confirmed their place in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. India will want to win the T20 World Cup title for the second time, while South Africa will try their best to win their first title. The final match will be played in Barbados on 29 June. However, before this match, there has been a big change in a rule. According to the new rule, the batsmen will get a lot of benefit from it, while the bowlers will have to suffer a lot due to this rule.

Rules changed before IND vs SA match

  • India and South Africa (IND vs SA) are ready to put their lives on stake on 29 June.
    However, before this match, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has made a big announcement.
  • The board has introduced a new rule for the upcoming season of Lanka Premier, which will benefit batsmen, while it is considered a big blow for bowlers.
  • 'Power Blast Over' is going to be implemented in Lanka Premier League. It will be taken during the 16th and 17th overs of every team's innings. Due to which every team will get an additional power play of 2 overs.
  • That means in the 16th and 17th overs, there will be only 2 players on the boundary line, which will make it easier for the batsmen to score runs.

When is the tournament starting?

  • Lanka Premier League 2024 is going to start from July 1. All the matches of the tournament will be played in Sri Lanka. The first match will be played between B Love Kandy and Dambulla Thunders.
  • A total of 5 teams will participate in the tournament. Talking about the teams, they include Jaffna Kings, Dambulla Thunders, Colombo Strikers, B Love Kandy and Galle Titans.

  • The final match of Lanka Premier League 2023 was played between Dambulla Thunders vs B Love Kandy.
    In this match, B Love Kandy won the title by winning by 5 wickets.
  • Batting first, Dambulla scored 147/4 after 20 overs, in response to which Kandy scored 151/5 in 19.5 overs and won the title match.
