India Women vs South Africa Women Test: The Indian women's cricket team created history in the only Test match being played against South Africa at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

India declared the first innings at 603 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 115.1 overs. In the 90-year history of women's Test cricket, India has become the first team to score 600 or more runs in an innings.

Earlier, the record for scoring the highest runs in an innings in women's Test cricket was in the name of the Australian team, which declared the innings at 575 for 9 in the Test against South Africa this year.

Let us tell you that the Indian cricket team came to play on the second day at a score of 525 runs with the loss of 4 wickets.

This was the highest score made by any team in a day in men's and women's Test history.

In this match, the Indian team, which won the toss and elected to bat first, was given a stormy start by the opening pair of Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana. Together, they made a record-breaking partnership of 292 runs for the first wicket.

Shefali scored 205 runs in 197 balls and Mandhana scored 149 runs in 161 balls.
