Gautam Gambhir: After winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from the T20 format. Both the players will no longer be seen in the Indian team jersey in the T20 format. Apart from the Indian team, the fans will also miss both the players on the field. After the retirement of Rohit and Virat, Gautam Gambhir's reaction has now come to the fore. He has said a big thing about both the players and has also wished Team India.

Gautam Gambhir spoke on Rohit-Virat's retirement

• On 29 June, the Indian team created history by winning the T20 World Cup for the second time on the soil of Barbadoes.
  Apart from crores of Indian fans, former players were also happy with the performance of the Indian team. On this subject, Gauti said,
• “I would like to congratulate Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, and the entire team. What could be better than retiring from international T20 with a World Cup win.
• Both of them are great players. Both have done a lot for Indian cricket. I want to congratulate them and wish them all the best. They will continue to play ODI and Test cricket.
  I am sure they will continue to contribute to the success of the country and the team.”

Gauti can become coach

• Rahul Dravid's tenure is over after the T20 World Cup 2024.
  He had refused to extend his contract. BCCI had also sought applications for its new coach, in which Gautam Gambhir's name was coming to the fore.
• Apart from Gauti, many Indian and foreign players have shown interest in becoming the head coach of the Indian team. But BCCI's first choice is Gautam. His becoming the head coach of Team India is almost certain.

Rohit and Virat had already decided

• After winning the World Cup 2024, Kohli said in his conversation that even if we had lost the World Cup, we would have retired from the T20 format.
  We just wanted to retire after winning the T20 World Cup.
• However, after retirement from the T20 format, Rohit and Kohli will continue to play in ODI and Test formats. The Champions Trophy 2025 and the World Test Championship 2025 finals are yet to be held in the year 2025. Both the players will definitely keep an eye on this competition.
