Pakistan will host the 2025 Champions Trophy. It is the first ICC tournament in the country after the 1996 ODI World Cup. All teams, barring India, have confirmed their participation. India don’t play in Pakistan and it is likely that their matches will be played at a neutral venue. The BCCI hasn’t made any official statement on the Men in Blue’s games in Pakistan.

According to GEO News, the apex body of Pakistan cricket will not allow the national team to play in India in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2026 if India refuse to compete in Pakistan in the upcoming Champions Trophy.

India and Sri Lanka are the host nations of the next edition of the T20 World Cup.

There is an ICC meeting in Sri Lanka from July 19 to July 22 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India is likely to clear their stance on playing in Pakistan.

India didn’t travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023 and the tournament was conducted in a hybrid model. Pakistan played the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. The two nations haven’t played a bilateral series since 2013.
