England playing 11 for second Test vs West Indies: England have announced their playing eleven for the second Test against West Indies which starts from Thursday, July 18 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
  The Three Lions have made just once change to their squad, bringing in express pacer Mark Wood in place of James Anderson, who retired after the first Test match in Lord's. 34-year-old Mark Wood has played 34 Test matches and picked 108 wickets at an average of 31.24.
He picked three wickets from five matches at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 last month, and will be playing in his first Test match since featuring in his side's disappointing loss to India in the fifth and final match of their series in Dharamsala in March. The Durham quick will join forces with fellow quicks Gus Atkinson and Chris Woakes in the pace department, with inexperienced spinner Shoaib Bashir likely to receive support from the likes of former captain Joe Root during the Trent Bridge contest. England won the first Test match in Lord's by an innings and 114 runs.
West Indies were bundled out for 121 and 136 in their two innings as debutant pacer Gus Atkinson picked seven and five wickets in the first and second innings respectively.
