New franchise sold for more than Rs 106 crore

The operating rights of Navi Mumbai franchise have been purchased by 'Aspects Sports'. This deal has been done for a total of Rs 106.88 crore for the next 6 years, in which Rs 12.21 crore will be given for the first season. This deal also shows the growing interest in the league.

Mumbai Cricket Association President Ajinkya Naik expressed happiness over this decision and said,

'The expansion of T20 Mumbai League to Navi Mumbai is part of our dream, under which we want to take cricket to every corner of Mumbai. The addition of the 9th team will not only increase the reach of the league, but will also give young players a great opportunity to showcase their skills on a big platform.

At the same time, Rajdeep Gupta, Chairman of the Governing Council of the league, said that with the arrival of the new team, the league will become stronger and the matches will become more exciting for the spectators.

Captain Rohit Sharma, who made Team India win the T20 World Cup, is the main face of this T20 Mumbai League. The specialty of this league is that along with young players, many big names of Indian cricket also take the field.
