India pulled off the second highest chase in ODI history during the second ODI against West Indies at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday.
India skipper Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 223 (133) paved the way for his side to chase down 406 inside 44 overs.
The Men in Blue became only the second team after South Africa to successfully chase a target over 400 runs in the format.
The Proteas continue to hold the record for the highest successfull second innings chase when it outscored Australia’s 434 in Johannesburg in 2006.
