India will travel to New Zealand for T20Is, ODIs and Test matches. It is an important bilateral assignment considering the 2027 ODI World Cup and the ongoing World Test Championship Cycle. However, there is just a four-day gap between the fifty-over matches and the first red-ball game, making the situation tough for the players and the support staff. The sub-continent team will have to win both Tests against the Kiwis to keep their hopes of making it to the WTC Final alive.

According to a Dainik Jagran report, Shubman Gill is likely to miss the last two one-day internationals to start preparations for five-day games. Shreyas Iyer, who is the vice-captain in ODIs, is likely to lead the Men in Blue irrespective of the results in the first three games.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prasidh Krishna, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav are some of the other players who are associated with the ODI and Test teams, and there is a possibility of them opting out of two white-ball fixtures for Tests.

The coaching staff will also be divided into two groups, with one staying with the ODI team and the other joining the players for practice sessions ahead of the Test series.

Gautam Gambhir, Morne Morkel, Sitanshu Kotak, Subhadeep Ghosh and Sairaj Bahutule are part of the coaching panel of the men's cricket team at the moment.

India are scheduled to play five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests in New Zealand.

The T20I series will run from October 22 to November 1. NZ vs IND ODIs are lined up from November 4 to November 15. Meanwhile, the two-Test series will start on November 19, with the tour set to end on December 1.
