Giving information through social media, she has resigned from the captaincy of all formats of the Indian women’s team. Decision came after review meeting with BCCI

This big decision of Harmanpreet Kaur to leave the captaincy has come just after the high-level review meeting with the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI. This important review meeting was held in Guwahati, Assam, which was chaired by BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia. Apart from captain Harmanpreet Kaur herself, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and head coach Amol Majumdar were also specially present on behalf of the Indian women’s team in this meeting, where the team’s performance and future strategies were discussed.

Harmanpreet further wrote that she has given everything for the country’s women’s team and the interest of the team has always been paramount for her. As a captain, he often had to take tough and difficult decisions so that the team could be made stronger at the global level.
