Delhi: After the demise of veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar, his fans are remembering the stories to him along with his films. Nana, who left this world on October 8 at the age of 75, was famous for his strong acting and outspoken style. However, very few people know that his love for cricket was also very deep. Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli was his favorite player.
In an old interview, Nana had told that if Virat gets out early, he does not feel like eating food. Many times he would even skip meals. It was clear from his statement that for him cricket was not just entertainment but a game to emotions.
While comparing cricket and cinema, Nana Patekar had said that in both the fields one has to give continuous exams. According to him, the examination for cricketers lasts for five days, whereas for artists this period can last for one and a half to two years.
Nana Patekar died of a heart attack at 5:10 am on 8 October. Doctor Shekhar Salkar told that he was given CPR for 45 minutes, but Nana could not be saved. Let us tell you that he was found unconscious in Dona Paula apartment, after which he was immediately taken to the hospital.
It is noteworthy that Nana Patekar's demise is a very sad news for the film industry and his fans. People will always remember his brilliant acting, simplicity and outspoken style.
