Delhi: Indian cricket team's young batsman Tilak Verma stole the show with his stormy batting in the second T20 International match against West Indies. In this match played on Friday evening in Ranchi, Tilak ended the Indian innings in a spectacular manner by scoring unbeaten 41 runs in just 18 balls. Thanks to his short but explosive innings, Team India made its highest score in T20 International cricket against West Indies. West Indies has a target of 250 runs to win.

The fours and sixes that came from Tilak's bat entertained the audience a lot, but a big achievement was also hidden in his innings. The Indian vice-captain completed his 5,000 runs in T20 cricket. The special thing is that to reach this milestone, he took less innings than even a legendary batsman like Virat Kohli.

Tilak Verma left Virat Kohli behind

Tilak Verma completed 5,000 runs in T20 cricket during the second T20 match against West Indies. To reach this achievement he played 166 innings. Whereas, it took 167 innings for Virat Kohli to reach this figure. That means Tilak achieved this position in one innings less than Kohli.

The young batsman also left Abhishek Sharma, who plays aggressively, behind in this matter. Abhishek had played 165 innings to complete 5,000 runs in T20 cricket, whereas in the list to Tilak's achievement, his name is at fifth place and Tilak is at sixth place.

KL Rahul holds the record for scoring the fastest 5,000 runs.

Among Indian batsmen, KL Rahul holds the record for completing 5,000 runs in the fewest innings in T20 cricket. He achieved this feat in just 143 innings. In this list, Rituraj Gaikwad is at second place and Shubman Gill is at third place.
