The battle lines are set once again as India and the West Indies prepare to face each other in the fourth T20I of the triangular series. With India on top of the group with two wins from three matches, there's nothing for the Men in Blue to lose. A win on Wednesday night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will be more than just a series win for the hosts. It'll be a much-needed tonic for the fans back home.
The series has certainly lived up to the hype of being a blockbuster, with both teams putting on a thrilling show for the fans.
1st T20I: India got off to a flyer at Lucknow, chasing down a 172-run target with a whopping eight wickets and 38 balls to spare for a dominant win.
2nd T20I: West Indies responded in style and scored a sensational 250 in just 18.3 overs to set up a nail-biting finish, finishing six wickets up against the odds to draw level with India.
3rd T20I: After the high-tempo opening encounter, it was the West Indies who were well on top early on and had India all out for 223 at the impressive Holkar Stadium in Indore. However, the visitors did well to put up a composed 209/7 in reply and left the hosts wondering what went wrong as they lost the match by 14 runs.
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is expected to offer a good scoring track and will host the first T20I encounter in the series. Teams that are able to capitalize on a good start with the bat should be able to post big totals on this surface. However, captains will always have to keep in mind the ever-present prospect of a drying pitch and the possibility of chasing being the better option if the toss goes their way.
