The pairs of Ramita Jindal and Arjun Bhabuta and Elavenil and Sandeep had a tough start to the day as they struggled to secure the top four spots to move ahead in the competition and eventually crashed out of the tournament.

The Ramita-Arjun pair missed out on qualification for the medal round after finishing sixth at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday, July 27. In a series of 30 shots for both shooters, the pair managed to score a total of 628.7 points. Meanwhile, the second Indian team comprising Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh ended the campaign disappointingly, finishing 12th with 626.3 points.

Talking about their individual scores in the team event, Ramitha and Arjun scored 314.5 and 314.2 points respectively, while Elavenil and Sandeep scored 312.6 and 313.7 points.

Meanwhile, China's pair of Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao finished first with a score of 632.2, while Korea's pair of Keum Jihyeon and Park Hajun finished second with a score of 631.2. The two will now compete for the gold medal, while Kazakhstan and Germany will fight for the bronze medal.
