Arshdeep broke Joshua Little's world record

Arshdeep Singh has now become the bowler from the Full Member country to take the most wickets in T20I cricket in a calendar year. A total of 40 wickets have been registered in his name in the year 2026. With this, he has left behind the record of Irish fast bowler Joshua Little.

Little had made this record by taking 39 wickets in the year 2022. Whereas, Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka had taken 38 wickets in 2024. India's Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also included in this list with 37 wickets in the year 2022.

Now Arshdeep has gone ahead with 40 wickets.

Became the first Indian to take 150 wickets in T20

Arshdeep Singh made another big achievement in this match. He has completed 150 wickets in T20 International cricket. He has become the first bowler from India to reach this milestone. Only seven bowlers before him in world cricket had been able to achieve this feat.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan is at first place in the list of highest wicket takers in T20I with 200 wickets.
