South Africa came closer to victory

The third Test match being played between Australia and South Africa has reached an exciting turn. Australia seemed to have the upper hand in the beginning of the match. After gaining a lead of 100 runs in the first innings, the Australian bowlers reduced South Africa’s five wickets to just 181 runs in the second innings. At that time South Africa’s total lead was only 81 runs and half of its team had returned to the pavilion.

However, after this Ryan Rickleton and Vian Mulder changed the course of the match with brilliant batting. Rickleton scored 101 runs, while Mulder scored 115 runs. Thanks to the century innings of both the batsmen, South Africa set a challenging target for Australia.

By the time the news was written, seven wickets had fallen for just 60 runs in Australia’s second innings. The team still had to score 228 runs to win. In such a situation, the South African team seemed to be getting closer to victory. Rabada’s record-breaking bowling has also strengthened South Africa’s position in the match.
