In fact, ever since Gautam Gambhir became the head coach of Team India, he has been giving more priority to young batsman Shubman Gill and now in this episode, he may get a chance to captain Team India in the Test series against Bangladesh.
It is being claimed in many media reports that Gill can be made the vice-captain in the Test series against Bangladesh and if Rohit is given rest, then Gill can be seen captaining the team.
Earlier also, after Gambhir became the coach, Gill was made the vice-captain in T20 and ODI and now the news is coming that he will be given the same responsibility in Tests as well. Not only this, Gill has also captained Team India in the recent T20 series against Zimbabwe.
