During the three-match ODI series in the Island Nation, Sri Lankan artist Mueen Saheed gave Virat Kohli special portraits. One portrait featured Anushka Sharma and their late pet dog, Bruno.

One of the star player’s fan clubs shared a post in which the cricketer can be seen posing with the portraits alongside Saheed. Virat sent the family portrait home while leaving the other one in Colombo with his signature.

Virat failed to score heavily against Sri Lanka and was undone by the spinners.

He was also a part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad and scored 76 runs in the final against South Africa.

He was named the Player of the Match. After lifting the trophy, Kohli announced his retirement from the format.

Kohli will now be seen in action during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will be played in September. India’s new head coach, Gautam Gambhir, will demand better performance from the star batter in the upcoming assignments.

Virat is likely to leave for London as his family is residing in the European city. According to reports, Anushka Sharma, Vamika, and Akaay have shifted to London, and Virat has also set up his base there.
