Wherever Neeraj Chopra goes, he never returns empty-handed. This trend started in 2016, when this rising star made a record for the first time. This was during the Under-20 World Athletics Championship where he made a record for the junior javelin throw. Neeraj's throw was 86.48 meters and he became the junior world champion. From that day itself, we got a glimpse of the future, in which many records were to be made and broken one after the other. On Thursday night, August 8, at the Paris Olympics 2024, Neeraj continued this trend and got his name recorded in history.

The final of the men's javelin throw at the Paris Olympics at the Stade de France Stadium proved to be very thrilling and very tough.

Here Neeraj Chopra came to defend his title, which he had won at the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj could not become the champion this time but as per his nature, he did not return empty handed. With a powerful throw, Neeraj got his and India's name written on the silver medal and thus got himself registered in the records book forever.

Neeraj made big records

Neeraj won a medal in the second consecutive Olympics and became only the fourth Indian athlete to do so.

He had earlier won a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Apart from Neeraj, Sushil Kumar (2008, 2012), PV Sindhu (2016, 2020) and Manu Bhaker (both 2024) have done this feat.
