One such dangerous fast bowler was born on 13 August 1975 in Rawalpindi. This bowler loved to run with fighter jets. Today this bowler is celebrating his 49th birthday, this bowler is none other than former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, famous as Rawalpindi Express.
Shoaib Akhtar is the fastest bowler in the world, in his time even the best batsmen were afraid to face his bowling.
Akhtar made a lot of headlines in his career. Shoaib holds the record of bowling the fastest ball which is still intact. Akhtar's style of celebrating after taking a wicket was unique. He used to celebrate by spreading his arms and flying in the field. There is a special reason behind this.Shoaib Akhtar had revealed in an interview that he is very interested in fighter jets. I always had a desire to know about fighter jets.Akhtar made his Test debut in 1997 and ODI debut for Pakistan in 1998 and in a short time he established his identity as a fast bowler. Shoaib Akhtar took 247 wickets in 163 ODIs of his international career. While he took 178 wickets in 46 Test matches. He has taken 19 wickets in T20 International matches. In the year 2003, he bowled a ball against England which had a speed of 161.3 kilometers per hour. Which is the fastest ball in the history of cricket.
