Badminton World Federation has suspended Pramod Bhagat, the badminton player who is going to represent India in the Paris Paralympic Games. BWF has taken this decision against Pramod due to the doping rule violation committed by him.

Pramod Bhagat suspended for 18 months

After the conclusion of the Summer Olympics in Paris, the Paralympic Games are now to be held there. These games will run from 28 August to 8 September, in which Pramod Bhagat was a big hope for a medal.

Pramod Bhagat had won the gold medal in the Paralympic Games held in Tokyo. But now he has been suspended for 18 months for breaking the doping laws, which means that Pramod Bhagat will not showcase his performance in the Paralympic Games to be held in Paris.

CAS found guilty in this case, BWF took action

BWF issued a statement saying that they have suspended Tokyo Paralympic champion Pramod Bhagat. His suspension is for 18 months. It was also said in the statement that CAS i.e. Court of Arbitration of Sports has found Pramod Bhagat guilty of not disclosing his address 3 times within 12 months.
