Purani Dilli openers Arpit Rana scored 59 runs off 41 balls at a strike rate of 143.90. His innings consisted of eight fours and two sixes. His opening partner Manjeet, smashed a four and a six to score 13 runs off eight balls at an average of 162.50.
However, Rishabh Pant played a slow 32-ball knock for 35 runs at a strike rate of 109.38.
Although the India wicketkeeper-batter managed to hit four boundaries and a six, his innings lacked the flair of an international player.
Lalit Yadav and Vansh Bedi, who came to bat after Pant, played a far more comprehensive knock. Lalit scored unbeaten 34 runs off 21 balls at a strike rate of 161.90. Bedi also chipped in with 47 not out runs off 19 deliveries at a stunning strike rate of 247.37.
However, Rishabh Pant's slow knock came to hunt Purani Dilli in the end as they lost the match by three wickets, and five balls to spare.
South Delhi Superstarz opener Priyansh Arya scored 57 off 30, while captain Ayush Badoni collected 57 off just 29 balls while batting at three.
Dilli Delhi batters pulled back things later, but could have benefited only with some extra runs on the board. Purani Dilli 6 lost just three wickets but settled for 197/3 in 20 overs.
