Former Australian team great Ricky Ponting has made a big statement and believes that Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler at present. Because he has proved in all three formats that it is not easy to bat against him.

Praising Bumrah, Ponting said, "I have been saying this for a long time, he is probably the best multi-format bowler in world cricket for the last five or six years."

Ponting praised him a lot

Speaking to the media, Ricky Ponting said about Jasprit Bumrah, “There might have been some apprehensions a few years ago when Bumrah had injuries and 'will he come back the same way?', but I think he has actually come back better. If I look at what he did in the T20 World Cup - the speed is still there, there is no change in accuracy or what he can give.

The skill set is all the same. He is getting better year by year. So, he will rank right up there.”

He further added that, “The best way to get a real assessment on these players is to ask other players and when you talk to opposition batsmen about Bumrah in particular, it is always ‘No he is a nightmare!’ You never know what is going to happen. One will swing, one will seam, he will bowl an in-swinger he will bowl an out-swinger and the consistency is there.”

Bumrah is currently on rest
