Rahul Dravid is counted among the greatest batsmen not only of India but of the world. Due to his solid technique and many reliable innings, he was given the title of 'The Wall' in Team India. His son Samit Dravid also plays cricket. Fans have a lot of expectations from him like his father. Samit recently participated in the Karnataka State Cricket Association's T20 league Maharaja T20 Trophy. In this league, Samit was a part of Mysore Warriors. During this time, his performance was not very special but he definitely showed glimpses of his talent. Now he has been selected in India's Under-19 team.
BCCI has given him a chance in the home series against Australia.BCCI has announced ODI and four day series between India and Australia's Under-19 team. This series will be played in India only. 3 ODIs and 2 four day matches will be played in this series starting from 21st September. For this, BCCI's Junior Selection Committee has selected the Indian team. Rahul Dravid's son has got a chance in both these series. Let us tell you that Maharaja Trophy was not good for Samit. He was not able to score a single big score. His highest score in the tournament was 33.
After continuous flops, Samit had to be dropped from the team.
