Suhas Yathiraj has won the silver medal in the Men's Singles SL4 category. With this, now the total number of medals for India in Paris Paralympics 2024 has become 12. At the same time, this is the second consecutive medal for Suhas in the Paralympics. Earlier in the 2020 Paralympics also, Suhas Yathiraj had managed to win the silver medal. Suhas LY was born in Shimoga, Karnataka.

He was physically handicapped (leg problem) since birth. He has done engineering in computer science from National Institute of Technology. He used to play badminton since childhood and his family never stopped him, Suhas played whatever game he wanted. After his father's death in 2005, his life took a new turn. After his father's death, Suhas decided that he has to join the civil service. After this, he passed the UPSC exam. Suhas, a 2007 batch IAS officer, started playing badminton professionally while he was DM in Azamgarh and today he has managed to win a medal in the Paralympics for the second time.
