With the competition set to begin on September 5, Pant looks set to make his comeback to red-ball cricket. It is worth noting that Pant last played a Test match in 2022 against Bangladesh, shortly after which he sustained life-threatening injuries after he was involved in a car accident in December 2022. However, making a miraculous recovery, Pant has returned and is raring to have a crack at red-ball cricket once more. He recently took to Instagram and shared a clip of himself batting in the nets. "I try not to have expectations because they can tend to tear you apart. I try to work as hard as I possibly can and give every ounce of a hundred percent & keep Learning from it," Pant captioned the post.
