Ravi Shastri: The Indian cricket team has done a feat in the last two tours of Australia which no other team in the world has been able to do. Team India has defeated the Kangaroos in their home ground twice in a row in Test series and has created history by doing so.
In such a situation, now the Men in Blue under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma would like to make a hat-trick of victories. However, even before the start of this series, former veteran player of Team India and former head coach Ravi Shastri has given a big statement. He has placed winning the Test series in Australia above even the World Cup victory.

In fact, for the last 10 years, the Kangaroo team has not been able to win any Test series against India. India defeated Australia for the first time in their home in the 2018-19 series and after that also won the 2020-21 series.
Both times when India won the series, Team India was being coached by Ravi Shastri. He has not won any ICC trophy as a coach but he has the distinction of winning the first Test series in Australia.
In fact, ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be held later this year, Ravi Shastri while talking to Mid-Day said that "Everyone just talks about winning the World Cup but when you talk to a real cricket fan, he will talk about winning the Test series twice in Australia.
There are very few teams who have won a Test series in Australia even once but India has done it twice. It is just like when teams used to go to the West Indies and beat them in the 80s. Everyone knows that if you want to win a Test series in Australia, then a different effort is required. This is the biggest achievement of my life even though I have also been a part of the World Cup winning team.
Let us tell you that this time the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be of 5 matches and earlier 4 matches were played in this series. If we talk about the beginning of this series, then its first match will be played in Perth from 22 November to 26 November.
This time India would like to create history by winning this series and captain Rohit Sharma would also be eyeing a hat-trick of Test series wins in Australia. Earlier, India had achieved this feat under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in 2018-19 and under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane in 2020-21.
