The new selector of Team India has been announced. BCCI has included former wicketkeeper Ajay Ratra in the men's selection committee. BCCI's Cricket Advisory Committee decided on Tuesday that Ajay Ratra will be the new member of Team India's selection committee. He will now select Team India along with Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar. Ajay Ratra has replaced Salil Ankola.
Ajay Ratra has good experience of international cricket as well as domestic cricket. He has been the head coach of Assam, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. He has also worked with Team India in 2023.
He was in the coaching staff of Team India in the ODI series against South Africa.NEWS – Ajay Ratra appointed member of Men's Selection Committee.
Mr Ratra will replace Mr Salil Ankola in the Committee.

Ajay Ratra made his ODI debut for Team India on 19 January 2022, he played his first match against England.
He played his first Test match against West Indies on 19 April. However, Ratra's international career ended in just 9 months. Ajay Ratra scored 163 runs in 6 Tests at an average of 18.11 and scored a century. He scored a Test century at the age of 20 and became the youngest wicketkeeper to score a Test century for India. Apart from this, Ratra played 12 matches in ODI cricket and he could only score 90 runs in these matches. Ajay Ratra's international career ended at the age of just 20.(News is being updated)
