Indian athlete Pranav Surma won the silver medal in the men's club throw F51 event at the Paris Paralympics. With this win, India's total medals have reached 24 so far. With this, India has reached the 13th position in the medal tally. This is India's best performance so far in the Paralympics. Pranav, a resident of Haryana, has come a long way since he suffered a spinal cord injury at the age of 16. Pranav has achieved a lot in his life but he believes that it is sports that truly changed his life.
Pranav Surma was born in the year 1994.
He is a resident of Faridabad, Haryana. A very painful incident happened to him at the young age of 16. At the age of 16, he became a victim of an accident. He was seriously injured in this accident. His spinal cord was so severely injured that he became unable to walk since then. After this, he had to resort to a wheelchair and has been completing all his work with the help of this for the last 14 years. However, despite getting injured at a young age, Pranav did not give up and continued his normal life.Pranav Surma has come a long and inspiring journey in the last 14 years.
He continued his studies and completed B.Com from Delhi University. After this, Pranav obtained an M.Com degree from Delhi School of Economics, which is considered one of the best institutes for studying commerce. After completing his studies, he joined Bank of Baroda as an Assistant Manager in 2020. Not only this, according to the information given on Pranav's Instagram account, he has also been Mr. India. He continued his studies and completed B.Com from Delhi University.
