India's female para athlete Simran Sharma did a great feat at the Paris Paralympics on Saturday, September 7. She won the bronze in the women's 200 meter T12 category, giving India the 28th medal. The current world champion Simran finished the race in 24.75 seconds and finished third. This was also her personal best performance. Simran, who performed brilliantly in Paris, has had a life full of struggles. First of all, she was born 2.5 months before the due date, that is, at 6.5 months. After this, she lost her eyesight. She also had difficulty walking, which increased her troubles even more.
Later her father died. However, Simran never panicked and overcame all these challenges.Simran was born in 1999 in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Usually a child is born after 9 months, but Simran was born in 6.5 months. Due to this she had to be kept in an incubator. Due to keeping her in the incubator for 6 months, she lost her eyesight. Due to being born prematurely, she also had difficulty in walking. Her neighbors used to tease Simran because of her way of walking. However, Simran never bowed down to struggles. Despite all the challenges, she kept moving forward and continued her studies.
