The majestic tour gave a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fans to get up close and personal with the coveted trophy. The event kicked off on September 6 with a jam-packed 24-hour cricket celebration during which the fans witnessed “A Day in the Life of the Trophy”. The event allowed young athletes to enjoy a cricket clinic hosted in partnership with the Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC). Former Indian cricketer Karuna Jain engaged with fans during a chat show and Q&A session before giving a masterclass to aspiring cricketers. The excitement shifted to the famous Nexus Mall Koramangala on the 7th and 8th of September, where fans relished the chance to click pictures with the iconic trophy and participate in interactive activities. The trophy tour will create unforgettable experiences for cricket fans of the cricket-mad country and help build anticipation for the marquee tournament. The marquee event was moved to the UAE from Bangladesh, which has been rocked by political unrest and violence in recent months. Despite the venue change, The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will retain hosting rights. The matches will take place across two venues in the UAE - Dubai and Sharjah. The 10-nation tournament will feature two groups with India featuring in Pool A alongside defending champions Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka while Group B features England, Scotland, South Africa the West Indies and Bangladesh.
